This book was published in France and introduces the traditional Japanese costume "Kimono". Kimono,
once an everyday garment, is now worn on special occasions such as family events, religious events, and national events. This book explains the history of kimono from its birth in the 9th century to the present day and examples of how to wear it, with plenty of illustrations and text. In addition to introducing the skilled techniques of artisans who create rich patterns, the book considers the symbolism and role of kimono by observing people who wear kimono in modern times, away from everyday life. At the end of the book, it introduces haute couture designs inspired by Japanese clothing, as well as many designers such as Issey Miyake and Kansai Yamamoto. It delves deeply into the kimono, a garment that has embodied the spirituality of Japan throughout the ages.
Color and monochrome. There is damage such as wavy cover, scratches, damaged corners, and yellowing of the book.
Due to the large size of the book, it will be delivered via Yu-Pack within Japan.
